Getting to Know THAI Smile Airways
A smile can go along way. That’s the concept of THAI Smile Airways. The airline’s aim is to always put passengers at ease, since traveling can be so stressful and chaotic. Just one smile can take all that away and that’s how THAI Smile makes the life of a jetsetter a little easier.
Founded in 2012, THAI Smile is the subsidiary airline of Thai Airways. It focuses on shorthaul flights, with routes leaving from Bangkok’s two airports, Suvarnabhumi and Don Mueang Airport. The airline caters to customers with a modern lifestyle, who expect only the best. So they provide premium services at affordable prices.
In Smile class, passengers get complimentary snacks and beverages and 20 kilograms of baggage allowance. SmilePlus offers more privacy in comparison, a hot meal, 30 kilograms of baggage and access to the privilege lounge.
THAI Smile currently flies to 9 destinations across Thailand. From Don Mueang, travelers can reach places like Chiang Mai, Phuket, and Khon Khaen. From Suvarnabhumi Airport, there are flights to Chiang Rai, Udon Thani, Ubon Ratchathani, Hat Yai, Surat Thani and Narathiwas.
THAI Smiles is now focused on expanding its domestic routes and aircraft fleet. It means more flights from both airports to choose from, giving passengers more convenience and comfort. The airline is also planning to add new international routes to Yangon, Colombo and Mandalay within 2015.
