Polar M200 GPS running watch / activity tracker with Heart Rate. Video Review by CardioCritic
The Polar M200 is a GPS running watch with off the wrist heart rate and all the essential fitness tracking features. The Polar M200 was one of the best value for money running watches of 2017 and continues to be so in 2018. The display could be a bit better and the mode of operation a bit more fluid but for under £100 ($150) it’s an attractive option.
If want a clearer display then we would have to recommend the Garmin Forerunner 35. The Forerunner 35 has a larger, clearer display and is also a bit easier / more logical, to operate.

The Polar M200 GPS running watch with wrist based heart rate and 24/7 activity tracker. Although hyped as a watch for RUNNERS the M200 is good for any sport where SPEED \u0026 DISTANCE and Hear Rate is of importance. The M200 utilises Polar’s SPORT PROFILES giving access to over 80 different sports.
We like the Polar M200 and think it’s suitable for a majority of casual runners, fun runners, park runners etc. However, it has been let down somewhat by it’s small, weak display and confusing button pressing / navigating through features. It won’t take long to get used to the user interface, but the display may continue to frustrate in certain light conditions. Personally we’d recommend either the Polar M430 (for serious runners) or the Garmin Forerunner 35 for recreational runners.

Polar Ignite 2 Review | Flawed Fitness Smartwatch
Reviewing the Polar Ignite 2, a fitness tracking smartwatch freshly upgraded for 2021, after a week of testing. This watch boasts some great features including GPS support, one of the best personalised exercise regimes around and good battery life. However, the Polar Ignite 2 also lacks some tools like SPO2 measurements, NFC and proper customisation. Compared with some Garmin and Huawei smartwatch rivals, this £199 device seems to be lesser value. However, there’s still plenty to love here, if you’re willing to look past those flaws.
Check out my roundups of the best fitness trackers and smartwatches of 2021 here on Tech Spurt for other ideas. One of my favourites is still the Huawei Watch GT 2e, which at a fraction of the price delivers longer battery performance, a slicker UI and more eyepleasing design.
